'Have a good weekend and see you all in Istanbul,' says Unai Emery as he leaves his presser. Barely a penny spent last summer and they have taken a leap forward: back in the CL and with a EL final. Liverpool, meanwhile, spent £450m and have gone backwards (& only getting worse)
Liverpool’s up & down performances are related to fitness levels. It will be the reason that Slot will be sacked no matter what tactics he employs now. His training methods have declined the fitness of the whole squad to one of the worst in the league so they are often out-ran.
There's not much else to say about this Liverpool team other than that they will surely miss out on Champions League qualification from here and fully deserve it. Injuries have played a part, but these players regularly look less fit and less well-organised than the opposition.
