🇬🇭 The husband of Elizabeth Quansah, who gave birth just a month ago, is mourning her tragic passing after she lost her life during Monday’s heavy downpour at Waterland in Tema New Town.
People have died, properties have been lost. Politicians tell us to check our attitudes.
People are jobless, they tell us to open indomie joints
Galamsey is killing the country, silence.
Our narcissistic leaders hate the people they were elected to serve
@amintheother@garyalsmith People just say things without understanding the implications because somehow they think it will favour them. As if life under dictatorship will be a bed of roses. We should hold our leaders accountable rather than wish for things we will regret bitterly
@garyalsmith Nobody insists that we all need to agree before solutions are implemented. The leaders have refused to solve issues. We are to hold them accountable, not wish for scary things. Imagine democratic leaders shirking duties with impunity, much more a dictator.
And so what?
Why is he telling us?
So we do what?
If he cannot proactively, as a president, ensure that his appointed officers regulate such basic things as the dumping of refuse, he should resign!
No president should make a habit of complaining to citizens when preventable wrongdoings are determined.
The government exists essentially to prevent the people from taking society into their own hands!
If we want a proper solution, they should map it out. Show the waterways that lead to the main rivers, sea, etc, then break along the channels. Show us how you want to manage waste in the city. Otherwise after breaking 3 houses, next year we will be having this conversation again
