His โnewโ face really creeps me out. I canโt look at it directly for more than half a second and feel like I got jumpscared when I accidentally tap the image to make it bigger. I think it has something to do with the eyes.

The frontier of artificial intelligence is advancing at an alarming speed. Over the weekend, industry leaders voiced support for an idea that the American people and many AI researchers in their own labs have been calling for: We must responsibly slow the pace of frontier AI development.
A slowdown is critical in order to ensure AI serves the public interest. Pacing AI development does not mean giving up on this technologyโs potential to produce life-saving benefits in fields like medicine โ some of which we are already seeing. Rather, it is about setting up sensible guardrails so that AI does not completely escape human control and endanger our safety and collective future.
This moment demands the leadership of the United States government. Congress must work at an urgent pace to pass new laws and establish a new federal entity to provide oversight and independent testing for this technology, to ensure accountability, and to protect our wellbeing.
We need cooperation at an international level as well. The United States must continue to lead the world in developing AI technology even as we seek to impose common-sense safety standards. This means that the president must do his job to protect Americaโs interests by pursuing a treaty with countries like China to stop dangerous uses of AI, limit the speed of its development, and adopt global standards for testing.
25 years have passed since September 11, 2001. A generation has grown up in the years since, but our responsibility to remember has not changed.
We remember the people who went to work that morning and never came home, and we remember the families who have carried their memories every day since.
We will continue to tell their stories, honor their lives, and express our enduring gratitude for the heroism shown that day.
since the quagsire stat change videos have been getting popular lately, I made ones with the status conditions (burn, paralysis, poison, sleep, and frozen)
@hurtsmichkov@ChildPleez007 That statement you made sounds misogynistic when referring to someone of Harrisโ background. Personally, Iโm more inclined to side with the underdog myself unless theyโve displayed poor character which I donโt she has.
@hurtsmichkov@ChildPleez007 I havenโt heard of the Walz disliking Harris but if they did between the Bidens, the Walz and Harris, Harris is at a disadvantage simply by being a woman of color, yet alone being black at that. What are these โnasty things behind the scenesโ youโve heard about her doing?
This weekโs Supreme Court decision is another reminder of what we are up against heading into November.
They can put more obstacles in our way, but they cannot take away our power. Our answer is to show up, make our voices heard, and turn out in numbers that are too big to rig.
Dolly Parton was a true American icon. First introduced to the world as a "little girl from up in East Tennessee," she became a global superstar.
Her career accolades included 11 Grammy awards, an Emmy, an honorary Oscar, and โ my favorite โ more than 300 million books sent to millions of children around the world through her Imagination Library. All at once she was kind, modest, and funny. With her music, her philanthropy, and her style, Dolly was one of one.
Doug and I send our prayers to her family, friends, and all those who have been touched by her magic. We will always love you, Dolly.
@madonnassance@VeryGewd@wiay204@virtueemoir29 I don't either because I don't understand who would take over an old Twitter account just to argue for the electoral viability of Pete.
