I don't know if it was the pain in my shoulder, or general fatigue, but on Saturday I whispered to the Lord, "It would be okay if you wanted to take me home." He replied, "You still have things to do."
I hope and pray I do those things according to His will.
@MattWalshBlog In an instant. S.S. is a total scam and should have ended years ago. I know, despite the amount that has been stolen from my pocket, that I'll never see a dime depite "having paid in all my life". Neither my kids, nor anyone else's, deserve that.
@MattWalshBlog Young men, if raised Christian (both in instruction and in example), will never find themselves involved in anything as depraved as what transpired at Cornell.
If you lay down with dogs, expect to get fleas.
One of my general Rules of Life is: "One's intelligence is inversely proportional to the number of bumper stickers on one's car".
I'm thinking of updating it to include: "or the number of emojis following one's X username."
The self-appointed "smartest people in the room" are spewing epically stupid stuff. It's as if degrees don't necessarily signify education or intelligence. The discourse goes a long way toward proving the point.
@DrHarrisJay The "University Ideal" is a noble concept. It's also completely out of touch with current realities.
People cannot afford to go into monumental debt for an educational lark; most need to translate their diploma into solvency.
A library card is far cheaper.
@dlongenecker1 I'm married, and am discerning entery my diocese's diaconate program. It's not something I take lightly. I don't know what God has in store, but I want to follow Him and where He leads. Prayers are appreciated.
