So, I wanna share a little story about stanning K-pop idols.
Back in high school, a friend of mine introduced me to girl groups like IZ*ONE, Red Velvet, Blackpink, etc., but none of them really caught my interest. I didn’t feel connected to the songs or the members at all.....
Being a Tokki isn’t always easy. 🍀
We’ve seen the girls go through things we wouldn’t wish on anyone. Lawsuits, silence, doubt, endless waiting, and uncertainty hanging over everything they’ve worked so hard for.
As fans, it breaks us too. We cry, we stress, we get angry—not because we’re weak, but because we love them so deeply.
But no matter how hard it is for us, we know the truth: the pain they’re going through… it’s something we’ll never fully understand. Because they’re living it. Every. Single. Day.
And yet… in the middle of all this chaos and pain, what do they do?
They worry about us.
They remind us not to be afraid.
They tell us it’s okay.
They tell us they’re grateful.
They thank us for staying.
How can you not cry at that? How can you not be overwhelmed when the people you love, who are hurting so much themselves, still choose to comfort you first?
It’s not just love—it’s a kind of bond that goes far beyond idol and fan. It’s family. It’s trust. It’s a promise.
The girls didn’t choose this path because it’s easy. No one in their right mind would walk into a storm like this for fun.
They chose this pain because they’re fighting for something bigger. For their rights, for their freedom, and yes—for us. Because to them, we’re not just numbers. We’re not just followers or lightsticks in the crowd. We’re home. And they’re protecting that home, no matter the cost.
It’s okay if it’s hard to keep up sometimes. It’s okay if you feel tired or lost. But if there’s one thing we can do—one thing we owe them—it’s to keep loving them the way they love us. With no conditions. With open arms.
Whether they’re on stage, fighting a lawsuit, or quietly healing somewhere far away. Whether they’re making music or just trying to be okay.
We don’t need to do grand things. Just don’t turn your back on them. Don’t throw hate where there should be support. Don’t claim to love them while doubting their hearts. Just believe in them, like they believe in us.
So to our precious girls—Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein—
Happy 1000 Days since debut. ☀️
A thousand days of laughter, tears, growth, and unforgettable moments. A thousand days of walking together, even through the darkest tunnels.
You’ve given us more than music—you’ve given us memories, comfort, courage, and a love that words can’t fully express.
Thank you for being the light in our lives. Here’s to the next thousand days, filled with healing, freedom, and joy. We’ll be right here, cheering for you always.
