“…excellence is there to be found and admired and learned from: but it is an offense to our self-esteem [to acknowledge this.]”

“If everyone is a hero, then no one is a hero; genuine heroes go unnoticed in all the mindless self-congratulation.”

“For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools.” —Romans 1:21-22
This is so demonstrative of many of today’s “elites” #fools

[Eric Simmons @ewsim]

@BethMooreLPM It’s sad that this even needs to be said. Every Christ-follower is called to grow in their knowledge of Christ and obedience to Him.

It’s good to see the media held accountable. If interviewees would fire back like @elonmusk did here we would be in a much better place publicly. Musk was respectful yet very direct and demonstrated the lack of integrity and the false claims being made by this BBC reporter.

[TexasLindsay™ @TexasLindsay]

BREAKING: @ElonMusk shut down this pro-censorship BBC reporter and left him scrambling on how to justify his own questions on misinformation and the supposed rise in hate speech.

Listen till the end.

“The problem with Western Christians is not that they aren’t where they should be but that they aren’t who they should be where they are.” —Os Guinness

May we who profess faith in Christ be who He has called and created us to be where we find ourselves in life.

“Ideas have consequences.” —Richard M. Weaver

When we try to live out thoughts that can’t be lived & fail to consider the consequences of an idea lived out, everyone suffers and suffers greatly.

Theological liberals treat black-and-white issues as gray. Legalists treat gray issues as black-and-white.

Mature Christians, gladly submitting to God’s Word in a healthy church, do the harder work of holding truths in tension and resisting easy extremes.

@Rgallaty The Sinks is a good course if you have played before and don’t have a problem playing in the woods. For beginners and/or family fun, you should go to Dallas Island at Chester Froster Park. You may get to see some deer if you play there.

[Eric Simmons @ewsim]

@ErikReed Don’t be surprised if this the reasoning they use to justify and push through packing the Supreme Court before November. “The Supreme Court ruled against our favor…we need to put more justices that will rule in our favor.”
