Last week, I facilitated a social media(SM) advocacy training in Abj for a group of 40 UNFPA's #YSMANG drawn from 22 ๐ณ๐ฌ states. I took 4 sessions including developing effective advocacy campaign& SM analysis. Time to learn too! Thank you @UNFPANigeria@EVA_Nigeria@youthhubafrica
@aonanuga1956@Advsola Egbon @aonanuga1956, see the news you're peddling. When do we get to see the police going after the actual bandits terrorizing the country?
Your doctor said nothing is wrong with you.
But you keep feeling exhausted by 12 noon.
Your knees ache climbing stairs.
You snap at people for no reason.
You have chronic inflammation!
Here's what's wrong inside your body and how to deal with it:

My Dad left Nigeria๐ณ๐ฌ in his late teens to be educated in the West๐ฌ๐ง
After completing his bachelors and Masters in the UK๐ฌ๐ง, he created multiple business in the West ๐บ๐ธ๐ฌ๐งand generated more wealth than he could have ever imagined.
Dad brought all his talents and expertise back to Nigeria๐ณ๐ฌ with the hopes of creating a World Trade Center/African Wall Street.
When I was born in Nigeria๐ณ๐ฌ I was surrounded by wealth, servants, opulence and two loving parents who despite having it all, modeled the importance hard work, never being a victim and never being satisfied with mediocrity.
In 1987 the Nigerian government๐ณ๐ฌ illegally and corruptly stole all of my dadโs assets, including his man made island thatโs now worth billions and was renamed to Banana Island.
While fighting the Nigerian government๐ณ๐ฌ in court, he mysteriously died weeks later.
We went from rich to poor over night.
Mom brought my brother and me to America๐บ๐ธ
It wasnโt easy, as we literally started from the bottom in the Bronx๐ ๐พ
My brother and I applied what our parents instilled in us at an early age, and despite the plethora of mistakes I made, we both became very successful.
Without the opportunities America๐บ๐ธ has afforded my family, Iโd be nothing. Yeah, America๐บ๐ธ isnโt perfect. We have our issues, just like every other country on the planet, but America๐บ๐ธ is one of the handful of places in the world where you can start with nothing, put in the work, and end up at the top.
I love this country๐บ๐ธ, and Iโm not ashamed to say it. And the moment I feel otherwise, Iโm gonna pack my stuff up, teach my kids a new language and seek life elsewhere.
With that said, #HappyIndependenceDay ๐บ๐ธ #4thofjuly
Hello everyone
This is is a cry for help!!
Iโm making this tweet because iv got to my limit and im exhausted. Last year October I found out I had gastritis and that was the beginning of my pains. Since then Ive been doing test but this year it got worseโฆ
Fellow Nigerians, good morning.
I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you.
Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry dailyโthe private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances.
We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the peopleโa society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal.
More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism.
We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishnessโa system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power.
Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise.
Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them.
However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building.
Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in oneโs own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated.
And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions.
There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline?
Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from.
Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all.
A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO
On May 7, 2025, I boarded a @qatarairways flight from Abuja to Dallas, US, with a stop at @HIAQatar to visit my wife.
Upon arriving at @HIAQatar, airport security officers accused me of carrying cocaine. The truth was that one of the items I was traveling with contained a harmless stone placed there by the manufacturer for stability.
After running several tests and confirming it was harmless, the airport officials lied to me, telling me to follow them outside the airport for more testsโnot knowing they were taking me to prison.
While I was in prison, @qatarairways wrote a report to the @USinNigeria stating that I had been caught with drugs, even though all tests were negative. My visa was canceled, and my wifeโs was revoked.
After 6 weeks of agony and more tests, I was released.
It has been almost a year, and @qatarairways has refused to retract their report against me.
1. Drink a glass of water immediately when you wake up. Youโve been dehydrated for 8 hours and it kickstarts your metabolism.
2. When youโre procrastinating, commit to just 5 minutes. Youโll almost always keep going.
3. When someone is venting, ask โdo you want advice or do you just need to vent?โ It saves a lot of friction asking these questions.
4. Screenshot important confirmations (flight bookings, receipts, order numbers) the moment you see them.โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
5. Use the 2-minute rule: If a task takes less than 2 minutes to do, do it immediately instead of adding it to your to-do list.
July 11
Today marks exactly 1 year since my hip replacement surgery. A pivotal moment for me after living my entire life with debilitating Leg pain (Avascular Necrosis) from a wrongly administered injection when I was a 9 months old.
This experience completely changed my life and taught me to never take the little things for granted.
The recovery months sent me into deep depression as I had to learn how to walk again as a child, and rely on other people to do even the simplest tasks. It truly felt like the world had moved on and I was just static. But Godโs promise and the hard lessons he was teaching me in that season was that I be STILL and let the world move on, because someday I would move again and the world will STANDSTILL for me.
The world has indeed stood still for me especially in the last couple of months, as I started playing chess again, Broke a world record, Started playing the piano again,Travelled the world, Spoke on Global stages and Helped more children find their place in the world again. Maybe danced a little more as well๐.
I finally found the courage to chase all the things that set my soul on fire.
The surgeons say the titanium implants have a lifespan of 15-20 years if youโre lucky, so I guess this is year one of being a cyborg. Iโm still recovering and not sure what the future holds, but one thing I know thatโs certain is God will hold my hands through all of it.
This frail body and these broken bones will house the greatest spirit humanity will ever know.
Iโm livingโค๏ธ
For everyone going through their own version of being static or nursing a pain no one else understands, I hope you donโt give up on yourself. Those battle scars will tell a beautiful story that healing is possible.
Someday you will move again and the world will STANDSTILL.

Iโll tell you 4;
1. Every single day, your body produces at least one cell that has the potential to become a full-blown Cancer. But your immune system destroys it quietly without you ever knowing.
2. Your skeleton is very active. It constantly breaks itself down and rebuilds itself from scratch. Because of this process, you get a completely NEW skeleton every few years (about 10).
3. You actually have a second brain in your stomach called the Enteric Nervous System. About 90% of your Serotonin (the chemical that makes you happy) is produced there, not in your head!
So when you eat rubbish, it tells your brain to ruin your mood. Thatโs what is responsible for the 'butterflies in your stomach' feeling.
4. Cervical cancer is one of the ONLY cancers in the world that gives a 10 to 15-year 'notice period'. The virus that causes it (HPV) can hide in a woman's body for over a decade with ZERO symptoms. It is almost 100% preventable, but only if you catch it during that silent period.
You can now earn a PhD in China by creating a product instead of writing a 100-page dissertation!
China has grown tired of PhD students writing research papers that no one reads and is now demanding that they build real products instead.
This radical shift in the philosophy of higher education in China represents a formal transition from "textual academia" to "utilitarian academia," where the traditional doctoral dissertation is replaced by the creation of a tangible product. The brilliance of this idea lies in its direct approach to the scourge of "dead research" that consumes years of researchers' efforts only to remain locked away in drawers, thus transforming the university from an intellectual silo into a productive engine that feeds the market and fosters innovation immediately.
