LSU was supposedly great because they blew out Clemson. That's the same Clemson who is 64th in FPI efficiency with the 109th ranked offense in college football. By the transitive property, Ole Miss was supposedly great because they beat LSU at home.
Florida was supposedly great because they handily beat Ole Miss (42nd in FPI Efficiency) at home, and Florida got talked about as a likely playoff team by a bunch of pundits.
Missouri will now get sunshine-pumped in the polls because they blew out Florida at home - the same Florida that is 77th in FPI defensive efficiency.
(By the way - Florida's chances of making the playoff are now lower than Nebraska or Northwestern. I have a sneaking suspicion that won't be brought up by very many people)
Alabama's offensive dominance has been racked up against the 30th, 35th, 44th, 82nd, and 91st rated defenses.
Kentucky's two SEC wins are by a total of 11 points against the 40th and 57th teams in FPI efficiency.
Baylor beat Arizona State on the road by a bigger margin than Texas A&M beat Arizona State at home.
Nobody launders overrated wins into undeserved AP votes quite like the SEC.
This would be like if the LA Dodgers owner bought the team, created a separate company to hold the TV network, having insurance companies tied to his financial empire lend hundreds of millions to that TV company, and then having that TV company generate huge guaranteed payments back into the Dodgers ecosystem
Narrative: Luka is a cone on defense.
Reality: Luka is allowing just 0.84 points per possession in 109 isolations.
That’s nearly identical to Amen Thompson and better than Jaden McDaniels & OG Anunoby.
And y’all was saying he can’t play defense.
Luka after being asked why fans stay so connected to him after he leaves, says it's his passion and his bond with the community (via SLAM)
"I mean, I just think people enjoy seeing me on the court, how I play, you know, with passion, all that stuff.
But also, I think I have a great relationship with the community. Wherever I played or left, you know, I try to give back as much as possible."
"In the last 15 years only 2 times has the player with the most Player of the Week & Player of the Month awards NOT won MVP…….Both times were Luka Doncic."
Say it louder!!
Imagine if next season… Rutgers made the College Football Playoff…
And then the following season… Rutgers won the National Championship.
That is what Curt Cignetti did at Indiana.
Kawhi Leonard is one of the worst guys in NBA history. He receives under the table money, got caught, and ruined the Clippers entire future, all while he goes to another team in another country with 0 major personal repercussions. He’s singled handedly destroyed an entire franchise
@dirtyhabad@daniherrera28@donttchmyj@UofBasketball Point is in 2024 Luka very clearly should’ve been a front runner and A LOT of ppl thought he should’ve won.
And he only got 4 first place votes and didn’t even get 2nd place. The media will never give him a mvp
@LeonelR49308690@fearedlaker@TheDunkCentral I mean Luka has to be on there over Hali. Hali got some moments but as a whole not there - didn’t even win ecf mvp
Luka has 2nd highest ppg in playoff history only behind MJ and lead the 2024 playoffs in pts, Rebs, assists, steals, and 3 pointers made.
