PS Paul Harwood was travelling on his motorbike when he stopped after seeing six year old spike waving at him.
Spike is autistic and loves anything with bright colours, lights and noise.
Spikes mum Faye said, "It was amazing, You have no idea the impact that made, thank you."
PC Jamie Rayner has been sentenced to two years and three months’ imprisonment for assault and engaging in controlling/coercive behaviour.
Accelerated misconduct proceedings will follow now that the criminal case has concluded.

3 years ago today I was dragged off a bridge by Police.
Today, I spoke to @StaffsPolice ACC & 14 Negotiators about the day I jumped off a bridge, my recovery & interactions with Police.
I never dreamed I could one day help others like this, but I promise, recovery is possible.
Someone must know who this is. He hit a police officer on the back of her neck with a glass bottle, let’s circulate his image as widely as possible.
