@rabbriansamuel According to the majority opinion, which is that Christianity is a permitted religion for Gentiles ( because Gentiles aren't prohibited in Avodah Zara when it's b'shittuf ), no.
Happy to help!
@OBLIVIONxDESCEN@ashleigh_fittis I'm sorry, but these are at best incredibly vague illusions that have plausible alternative readings. Do you have anything better?
@HNoahid Is an idolater allowed to bring korbonos in the Temple? No. Was a Gentile who served idols permitted to? Yes.
Why does the Yerushalmi Sanhedrin say that Gentiles don't have to die for their monotheism? Also, why are Bnei Noach allowed to benefit from idols ( Avodah Zara .סד )?
@ariyaariIL This is an incredibly small minority opinion ( only the Abarabanel and R. Yitzchak Arama'ah, so far as I'm aware ).
What Rabbeinu Bachye holds is that there's no obligation to prosecute breakers of the Noachide Laws in Chutz l'Aretz, which is a makhlokes Rishonim.
@FishEaters@rachelbsol18 I'm not saying be a Noachide. Shapiro said: 'Just follow Noachide Laws, which Christians already do, so go to Church.' I don't know what Chabad get out of this, but don't care.
And the Rema and the Shakh are greater authorities for Ashkenazim than the Rambam and the Lubavitcher.
@realJennaEllis@benshapiro He probably believes salvation is caused by following the Noachide Laws ( which actually is incorrect on a Jewish understanding, but a common misconception in the Jewish world ).
@realJennaEllis@benshapiro Great questions.
The difference is the laws God demands of you to inherit the Next World.
Christianity aren't required to convert because no one is, and worshipping Jesus isn't considered idolatry for Gentiles according to most opinions.
