Afghan Muslim refugee and martial artist is parading around Walmart in NY State with his sons, dressed in a full thobe, deliberately flaunting his presence so everyone knows Muslims are thick on the ground in the area and intend to stay that way.

He openly says he’s doing it to “take the weight off the shoulders” of Muslim women and shield them from being “attacked,” while pushing other Muslim men to start wearing traditional Islamic clothing as a public show of pride and strength.

This is the same man who fled Afghanistan as a refugee in 1992, settled comfortably in New York, spent years going back and forth, then fled Kabul again with his family in 2021 when the Taliban took over. Now he’s back in New York running a self-defense school and using everyday public spaces to assert Muslim visibility and presence.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

From the looks of it, his actions appear to have less to do with the Muslim faith and more to do with establishing Islamic dominance.
