Interested in hands-on workshops to build full-stack apps with Flutter and Dart?
Iโm exploring Full Stack Flutter in Nigeria and would love your input on topics, cities and what would help you attend.

I want to build simpler, secure products and be someone people trust with difficult problems. Iโm still far from that, and there's a massive amount I don't know. But I'm not the same engineer I was in January. Becoming an engineer is a messy, ongoing process

Building systems that scale isn't just about poetic code. It's more of:
- Understanding the business
- Making trade-offs when your PM want a spaceship but can only build a bicycle
- The users
-Organizational Resources
- Development Team

Listen to senior devs warn you about their scars, but some lessons require breaking the build yourself. Like pushing an update that ruin things (caused by just two lines of code๐ข). Or delaying a launch to chase a "flawless masterpiece" myth๐คฆ. We learn everyday.

@Voxlessa 100%. You can test a flow multiple times across different stages, but then one minute into production, they will find that one edge case you didn't even know existed. You can't unit-test human unpredictability.๐
Building prod applications helped my view of software engineering. Theory is clean; reality is messy. Knowing what an MVP is on paper is different from knowing when your app currently held together by superglue and hope is actually ready for the real world.

โwe shall work; we shall grind; we shall study; we shall plan; we shall prepare; we shall burn the midnight candle; we shall exhaust the glow of the sunlight, perhaps someday people will no longer be impressed by our brilliance; they will be used to it.โ ~ @Mrpossidez
Yesterday, my friend deployed an update, it worked on his phone but on the laptop and it was the old version, we wondered why, after a while, he said he was on vpn and he turned it off and then it worked, thats CDN and caching, the bug is the global architecture doing its job ๐
My decisions as an engineer influences the product, the user, the company, the team.
Sometimes I imagine myself in the future running the whole board, making the final decision, balancing engineering trade-offs with how the business makes money, I'll get there someday.
