Nobody for a fact knew Alaafin Atiba’s father.
Neither Samuel Johnson nor Samuel Crowther who were alive during around the time he reigned or shortly after his reign, nor the Arokins interviewed could state Atiba’s father.
I hope you know that?
Inaugural Meeting of the Yoruba Council of Obas – 1937, Oyo
In 1937, the first official meeting of the Yoruba Obas took place at the palace hall of the Alafin of Oyo. This historic gathering brought together five first-class Yoruba monarchs, marking the formal establishment of what would become the Yoruba Council of Obas. During this meeting, Ooni Adesoji Aderemi of Ife was appointed as the permanent chairman of the council. Subsequent meetings were held annually, rotating among the domains of the participating Obas.
The picture from the 1937 gathering shows the following dignitaries seated from left to right:
Oba Daniel Adesanya Gbeleguwa II, Awujale of Ijebu-Ode (1933–1959)
Oba Siyanbola Onikepe Oladigbolu I, Alaafin of Oyo (1911–1944)
Oba Adesoji Tadeniewo Aderemi, Ooni of Ife (1930–1980)
Sir Bernard Henry Bourdillon, Governor of Nigeria (1935–1943)
Omo n'Oba n'Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Akenzua II, Oba of Benin (1933–1978)
Oba Ladapo Samuel Ademola, Alake of Egba (1920–1962)
This landmark meeting not only formalized communication and cooperation among the Yoruba monarchs but also strengthened their influence in colonial administration.

It has always been my dream to build a powerful brand born from the soul of Africa, one that rises from our continent to command a confident place on the global stage.
@AKakanfo We still need more clarity about Ife empire too. There are lots of misunderstandings about Ife empire sir. Probably Ife empire existed so long before the colonialist came to our shores.
Kindly help to put more light on this sir. Thanks
