got the welcome letter for medic school and in the ‘tips for success’ section they say to try to get 3 hours of sleep before tests and that they know 8 hours is not realistic lol
Does anyone have tips on how to best tamponade and hold the hub of a non-occluding IV catheter? I cannot do it effectively for the life of me and I think bloodletting as a medical practice has been frowned upon for a few centuries now.
@dynamicpanic_ Quite a few of my coworkers have taken it and have all seem to have had good experiences with it. Keeping it in my back pocket for when medic school is done and I get some time on the road.

I think a few NYC EMS people follow me on this account—I’m looking at paramedic school soon, trying to figure out where and would appreciate any input on programs that you feel seem to consistently create knowledgeable providers
I have to admit that going from an EMS system where every patient went on the stretcher to one where apparently most go on the bench has been a huge adjustment
