Parenting in the pandemic has felt difficult for so many. One parent used self-determination theory to help make sense of her parenting experiences since the outbreak of COVID-19, where we have less opportunities of competence, autonomy, and relatedness.

Thank you so much Nancy Doyle for an enlightening, empowering and interesting webinar on Neurodiversity. I'm a mother of two children who are neurominorities. We need to revolutionise the schools! :-)

Flexible working in lockdown wasn't achieved; workers swapped the office for a kitchen. Where they working from home or living in the office? But there were rises in productivity. The future: offices as an experience, not a place to work #abpconf@ABPsychologists@turnertownsend
@ProfCaryCooper on Wellbeing. Staff who managed the best over covid-19 lockdown had a boss who regularly contacted them. They had a socially skilled Manager. Managers no longer need to just know technical skills but important they develop interpersonal-emotional skills. #abpconf

Do you love client delivery but not organising your business, admin & managing client projects? Look out for our flyers in your delegate bags at the #abpconf & learn how we can support your business growth. Get in touch, we'd love to hear from you! #bignudge@abpsychologists
Had fun listening to @brucedaisley VP @Twitter at the #abpconf learning about FOMOOM (fear of missing out on meetings), how we spend 16hrs/week in meetings and working more than 55 hours a week = less productivity. He brought lots of energy to the room. #bignudge@abpsychologists
My daughter asked what the ABP conference was about today. Has anyone explained behavioural economics and nudge theory to a 5 yr old?! I managed an "understanding how people think to help them make better decisions". It seemed to satisfy her?!

There is something about seeing your name in print (well, business name that is!). Flicking through the August edition of the BPS The Psychologist, I couldn't help but exclaim, "Hey... that's me!".

I was clearing out some old Uni notes from nearly 20 yrs ago (a LONG overdue task!) and came across evidence of my feelings towards my Statistics exam! What where your least fave topics?

For parents looking after children who have experienced trauma, it is difficult to find the time for self care & that's when it is important to try survival care in order to slow the pace, alleviate the pressure & have room to breathe. #survivalcare#selfcare#nourishresilience
Failure: the key to success. Always embrace the idea that there’s no shame in trying something new – even if the result is a flop!

Inadequate psychological recovery or poor disengagement from work is associated with a range of health problems. An inability to separate our working lives & our leisure time is having potentially devastating consequences. https://t.co/HqSfp5n8NW

Now that the ABP conference is over for 2018, what were the highlights & your takeaways? I was unable to attend this year so it would be great to hear your experiences! #abpconf18@ABPsychologists
