New study shows that partial range of motion in the leg extension at long muscle lengths elicits greater hypertrophy compared to training at short muscle lengths. Moreover, gains for the long length condition were generally comparable to training through a full ROM. These findings are consistent with the growing body of evidence suggesting that the lengthened portion of a repetition provides the strongest stimulus for muscle hypertrophy.

Moving your body isn’t just good for your heart. It also lowers stress, boosts mood and improves well-being. Walking, swimming, dancing, stretching -- it all makes a difference.
Here’s a move you can do anytime, anywhere to get started. Standing or sitting with your feet hip-width apart and shoulders down and back, look straight ahead and tilt your ear toward your shoulder until you feel the stretch. Hold for about 10 seconds. Repeat to other side and forward.
💪 Add Intensity: With a hand on top of your head in each position, apply light pressure to increase the stretch.
