More brilliant work today by @CitizensArrestN as they place more oil and gas executives on notice of citizens arrest to face charges of public nuisance . Calm , collected , polite and pertinent - it’s time these people were denied anonymity . More here https://t.co/hvKQs0FXTo
The devastation on its way is unimaginable - like nothing humanity has ever witnessed before - and everyone will wish they had been climate activists and ‘hysterics’ when they had the chance. We are in a moment of unprecedented stupidity.
@RobGMacfarlane We can send you our Invocation to the Exe Salmon (2022) if you are interested. Its is used publicly and read aloud by many different people in our Salmon Run as a repeated ritual framing for the event and in other more activist interventions.
My first glimpse of the Thames.
Why is a salmon from the Exe so far from home?
Salmon numbers in England and Wales are at their lowest level since records began. We are at risk of extinction!
So I had to go to London to protest
#MARCHFORCLEANWATER#floodthestreets
I had my portrait painted by an artist from @camvalleyforum
It was a great day. Encouraging to see so many humans speaking up for the rivers and wildlife, as we can't speak up for ourselves.
Thank you @RiverActionUK for organising, and @sascampaigns for putting on the coach
@paulpowlesland@MarchforWater how great to see all these rivers come together - ceremonies and rituals really help to deeply acknowledge rivers as our lifeblood
Fantastic news! Less than a month after the final dam removal, salmon are returning to the free-flowing Klamath River to spawn, with Chinook salmon observed in Oregon for the first time since 1912. https://t.co/dnEjAmqveJ
I’m joining the @MarchforWater this Sunday at 11am on the Albert Embankment, to demand that we have action on the many promises made on the state of our rivers.
I hope to see as many of you who care about our rivers & seas as possible there, to send a clear message to the government.
It’s also not too late to bring some water from your river, lake, stream or sea, to add to the largest collection of UK waters gathered in one place. To add your water, the vessel will be outside 25 Albert Embankment from 10:30-11:30, or to the left of the main stage from 1:30.
See you on the streets!
22 human legs, 50 miles and a Salmon called Samantha
Following the cancellation of the full Salmon Run, some of us ran up the river on Sunday to make sure the annual celebration of the endangered Salmon and their upriver migration still took place.

We’re thrilled to be featured on the cover of The Environment magazine by @CIWEM! Our experts Ruben Rocha & Foivos Mouchlianitis explore #damremoval as a key river restoration tool and the growing movement across Europe💧
Well this is depressing news. Same story in the Exe (though we don't have the same sophisticated counting operation).
As weather stopped our #SalmonRun in September, a small group of us will run with the salmon from Exmouth to Exmoor tomorrow to highlight their plight
Annual salmon count shows lowest number of juveniles for more than 20 years. Find out how MSA member, @GWCTFisheries are working to identify what is causing this and what can be done to reverse it: https://t.co/JIVjcqoLq0
A very well-deserved congratulations to all of our ultra-runners! They’ve run 40 miles from Exmouth to Exebridge over the course of roughly 6 to 9 hours - well done!!
And a huge congratulations to joint winners - George and Lestyn🙌
