@MalcolmRaw99915@JohnLeePettim13 My understanding was that traditional steam turbine plants (coal, gas, or nuclear) all have the benefit of the mass of the rotor acting as a natural PF stabiliser.
@BenJacksonTP My Exige is >£700 a year now. My i8 is free.
Result I tax the Lotus in the summer and drive it instead of the BMW as much as possible, including pointless evening drives, "to get my money's worth."
VED system is broken.
Just down the road from me.
I just pray @elonmusk is personally held responsible for one of his Cara mowing down 11 people
0-60 is childish and ruins lives.
@BBCNWT As someone who has a lot of family in Tideswell this is awful - but their should be loads of data in the car about what happened @TeslaInTheUK@Tesla@elonmusk
@elecclassiccars Erm. It won't look like that if it's actually used.
If it remains a garage queen then might as well have left the engine in it from a CO2/environmental perspective.
@PeteFlintMurray Sounds like a decision already made.🤣
Personally though I'd much rather a VW Up / Skoda CitiGo. They are much more like the original Mini, and an absolute hoot to drive.
@PeteFlintMurray Don't do it.
If it's a second /third car for a bit of fun, why compromise on a warm hatch?
Buy cheap, buy twice.
Get something properly exciting.
@Birdies_Barolo@SawyerMerritt Bonus fact lead acid batteries are also one of the most highly recycled products on the planet. Far beyond current Li Ion packs!
@Birdies_Barolo@SawyerMerritt You could buy LiIon replacement battery to upgrade a standard 12V lead acid.
Problem is the cost of the upgrade would outweigh simply replacing the standard battery when it expires.
Even Tesla uses 12v batteries (and yes they need replacing)
@gwestr @eric_young_1 @JustinList No, I just don't think Intel will be allowed by the US govt to fail within a year, as they view onshore fab as a critical industry.
@TeslaPaul1@SawyerMerritt@Tesla Off to auction is my guess.
The auction partner, likely BCA, paid a carbon neutral broker to offset their operational CO2 via some opaque tree planting program.
@gwestr @eric_young_1 @JustinList I disagree.
Intel is strategically important as an onshore fab resource for the US.
I think protectionism is going to bite globally, and this could see Intel end up as the shovel maker in an AI gold rush.
@siedwardscamera@timpitt100 It's more a case of packaging the batteries.
The perceived need for range means consumers demand huge batteries, so the car has to be physically large to hold them (especially in floor-pan battery designs).
@ElNinoSyd@Factschaser I agree they won't necessarily compete with the S/X. Maybe around the margins of X wanting something practical but not fans of the X's styling.
A 7 seater Y would be more in the target demographic for the Buzz.
@ElNinoSyd@Factschaser They are already in Europe (big waiting lists here).
They are very expensive compared to the ICE equivalents - I bet VW are getting huge profits on each one they sell.
