They wanted the embryo destroyed, not returned. So where is the damage?
Consider this: one of these guys puts the sperm into her the natural way… can he then force her to abort?
No. He cannot. It isn’t like returning some car keys. Abortion is traumatic and they should have found out ahead of time if she would be willing to do so if they requested.
Just as nobody should be able to force a person to stay pregnant, nobody should be able to force an abortion. “Should” is the key work in both cases.
And? Some women want to help others. So? Nobody is forcing anybody.
Also, some women like being pregnant. (Don’t come at me, it is true though not the majority)
When I was pregnant, my body was the healthiest it ever has been. Pregnancy can temporarily put certain conditions into remission - particularly autoimmune disease. Look it up.
If I had a friend or sister who couldn’t carry to term, I might consider helping them become a parent. Nobody is being treated like cattle, it is all voluntary.
@burkeene@RubenQuintanaJr@Neutral_OC I’ve had a can replaced and another truck came later the same day to drop it off. I am betting another is on the way as soon as he notes it on the pickup.
@Neutral_OC Maybe if they didn’t charge per bin for recycling, I wouldn’t smash my recyclables down in the bin so tightly. And maybe my extra recyclables wouldn’t end up in the garbage on the weeks where they don’t pick up recycling.
@DireWolf_6@RealWayneDupree Fair enough. Being poor doesn’t necessarily make you smart, but being poor and dumb has definite results. 😆
It is kind of sad that you can be dumb and somehow get by, if you have money.
…gdmw, I don’t hate people with money, but dumb people irritate me regardless.
And if anybody learns this about me and tries to hack the system by calling my husband to have him call me to tell me to call them, he knows better. He just laughs and says “send her a text”.
And when people text, I will delay responding so that maybe they are away from the phone and won’t immediately start a back-and-forth.
Social anxiety is a bitch.
My phone anxiety shot through the roof many years ago. After my grandfather died, my grandmother called us all the time. It grew to the point where seeing her name on my phone stressed me out because she was calling for the twelfth time that day and I never knew if it was to ask how to do something on her iPad, why she couldn’t get the VCR to play, how much money she had left in her checking account, to tell me again that she has changed her mind about how to allocate money in her will, or if she was calling yet again to complain about someone in our family.
I began letting her go to voicemail. Then she began calling my sisters to have them call me to tell me to call her.
Soon after that began, I stopped answering all calls.
I have still not recovered. The phone ringing gives me a physical anxiety response. My phone is on mute and I don’t even know what my ringtone is set to. I have four people that are set to emergency bypass so my phone rings. Those are my husband, my son, my business partner, and my kids’ school.
Sorry not sorry.
