@FootballCliches During the match today Mitoma was full named by co-com. You've talked before about players Like Harvey Barnes who always get full name treatment. I would like to ask ,a la mitoma, are there any players who are the opposite and hearing their first name is jarring.
@FootballCliches Have you ever talked about the co-commentater task of summing up the match over highlights during a break in play. Thought excellent example just now and made me wonder how they are cued up for it as start talking before first clip. Textbook.
@FootballCliches Commentary on Friday's FA cup game had an extremely wrong "didn't know anything about it" clearance from a defender. What is the criteria for it and as was on Friday surely any actual header doesn't count.
@FootballCliches On match of the day, during the Liverpool game I believe, the commentator used the phrase ' after you claude' which must join keystone cops as being an extremely outdated reference which surely needs updating.
@MooseAllain I agree but think they're are levels. Rhod Gilbert as an example had some great ones that weren't technically physical prizes but think the line should be drawn with anything just googled as you say.
@FootballCliches Based on a piece of commentary on a weak Bamford shot Friday. What constitutes a "save you expect the goalkeeper to make". Is it just where in goal or does power mater. Also is "not troubling the goalkeeper" just for shots off target or can central weak shots count.
@FootballCliches The premier league tweeted that Watkins goal today was 'vintage' Ollie Watkins. I 100% agree it was but made me think that there is maybe a scarcity of players who you could say that about at the moment. Players that have a certain type of goal. I think maybe salah but who else?
