@andrewfinney79 @DaruneAlbane @briallenhopper Except that the expected life span of a retired NYPD cop after retirement is only 12 years, so even the ones retiring now are not statistically likely to be around collecting a pension by the time the o es hired in 2013 are eligible for it.

(Apple meant any fruit in Old English/today it means a specific fruit.) When coined in the 60’s, it referred to the hate demonstrated against homosexuals. Hate that was irrational and likely based in fear.

@jaburgd @IrishTaterGirl @davidhogg111 If insurance was required from the moment it left the factory and could not be removed until the gun was proven destroyed, insured by and other, or had a police report filled that it was stolen- straw purchases would disappear and there would be fewer “illegal” guns out there.

The obsessive compulsion for individuals to record their own every moment is, a culturally inculcated behavior and not one that the world ought to become inured to because it suits you.

@chadrk15 @PattiLuPone How about respect for everybody the audience. If I pay to to see a show, I don’t want some jack@$$ in front of me waving his phone about. It’s live theatre, that defeats the purpose. Also, just because you want to do something, doesn’t mean a rule telling you NO, is outdated.
