I was born/raised in Detroit area; grew up watching Gordie Howe, the Red Wings & the original 6 on CKLW Ch 9 out of Windsor. Now in NC & cheering for the Canes!
Looking forward to joining my friends at @SportsUSALive for the excitement of the Eastern Conference Final and then the Stanley Cup Final. Talk to you next week from Raleigh!!!

So many of you tagged me in this fantastic video shared yesterday by mac_actual.
Check out the problem solving on display. Our hero wants to get onto the couch but itโs just a little too tall for her. Until she devises an alternate method, that is.
How clever!
Young children are equipped at birth with a limited set of problem solving skills (such as the rooting reflex, intended to help them locate food).
In the 12-18 month range (where we find this little one), however, these skills become far more complex and deliberate, with toddlers using their powers of observation alongside trial and error to begin overcoming challenges and removing all sorts of barriers to their desired goals.
What a treat to see this little thinker in action!
@ahoesmad We only have three goalies in the system where we should have four. With one out, possibly long-term, we need to add another. Pyotr will be up. Perets is just not ready for the NHL. God forbid Raanta goes down. Thus the need for a 4th goalie.
@jarvydrury17 We actually need four goalies in the system and only have three. This sounds like a pretty serious issue with Freddie with the potential of him being out long-term for treatment. Perets is not ready for prime time and if Raanta were to go down, it would mean Pyotr and Perets.
@AnvilJosh@WaltRuff Considering Luke DeCock stated he had heard "liver cancer" though that is not thought to be true now, I am not sure. I first thought concussion due to the puck to the mask. Since they are using the word, medical, not injury, I don't think it is the puck.
Alexander Nikishin is lighting up the KHL again this year (3 points in 3 games as a dman).
From where he was in his draft year to where he is now... you don't see this type of production jump often.
To put it into perspective, the last dman that looked anything like this who went on to become a star in the NHL was Gary Suter (drafted in 1984).
@corylav This made me lol. I went to Wayne State in the mid to late 1970s. I was a music major and in the band. This was a commuter college- 30K students. No actual dorms. ' There were more band members in the stands than actual spectators. We left after half timeโฆ.
