🛰☄️ We’ve got a new #comet mission! Welcome #CometInterceptor! Three spacecraft in one, it will be the first to visit a truly pristine comet or other #interstellar object that is only just starting its journey into the inner Solar System. Full story: https://t.co/hp8GAwaUOk
I can’t believe it’s already over! I could easily use a month surrounded by wonderful and brilliant people to learn and share the few things we know about #exocomets. I bet that’s going to change soon. See you in the next @exocomets meeting! ☄️
Still can’t believe we put a super nice proposal for @ESA_CHEOPS guest observers program in less than a week! I’m so thankful for the opportunity @exocomets gave us #exocomets adicts to collaborate!! ☄️ :D
So cool seeing people all around the world trying their best in pronouncing the entire comet name Churyumov-Gerasimenko instead of the short designation #67P👍If you’re still not sure how to pronounce this complicated #Ukrainian name I’ll be happy to help😁

CO is detected in ALMA images and we think the gas is produced by colliding #exocomets. This is because CO is a short lived molecule (photodissociated very quickly) and has to continuously generated to be detected @lucaroundthewo1 informs us.
.@paulmolli telling us about how we can find isotopes in #exoplanet atmospheres and how their detection can potentially constrain the accretion and evolution history of planetary atmospheres, where #exocomets may have contributed to high D/H ratios.
.@FitzsimmonsAlan gives us a great introduction to Solar System #comets and shows us the Sodium tail of Hale Bop. To create this image Alan had to hold the Sodium filter in place during a long exposure as there was no filter holder. 🙈 #effort#exocomets
On my way to the #exocomets workshop in Leiden. Excited about the upcoming week of science! @exocomets Also bringing along new poster which summarizes my entire PhD 🎉
First poster is up on the website! "Exocomets: Comets under a different Sun?" by Maria Teresa Capria. Check it out at: https://t.co/OJPrIgFf5w #exocomets
@molaverdikhani@Paul_A_Wilson There is no remote link set up planned, unfortunately. A large part of the workshop will happen in small working groups each tackling different aspects of a problem. We will make any presentations available online and also aim to write a white paper summarising the workshop.
