@RinoTheBouncer Literally the entire Mega Man series, it’s iconic though historically very niche as people often overlook the games, the games are amazing, and the story, music and characters.
@Emerldd@MrLag525 SA1 reminds me of Mega Man X7 honestly, every other playstyle except Sonic feels like unpolished, dated, and filler like. SA2’s mech and treasure hunting stages actually make you feel something for learning to improve your skill at them They’re essentially proper gameplay styles
@MrLag525@LlennoxYt I think the spot of most overrated sonic game has shifted from sa2 to sa1, I agree sa1 isn’t that fun, the game is very unpolished
Imo ALL the playstyles (especially sonic/shadow) are just decent at minimum, and amazing at most
I think I hate every playstyle except Sonic in sa1
@SpaceTheGamer@MrLag525 The only levels I had to memorize entire maps and many hints were mad space and meteor herd, every other level I can spontaneously find the emeralds within 2-4 minutes if I utilize hints and routing well enough
@KatsuRoscoe73@MrLag525 sa1’s treasure hunting stages are like 30 seconds of just running around and are a joke
sa2 actually makes the player require a level of skill by utilizing hints and critically thinking about routing, the nerfed radar is n’t really a big deal except for a level like mad space
@ViviMarMar_@LlennoxYt sa2 is a game I find myself playing at the drop of a hat, and done in 4 hours, in sa1 whenever I replay it it’s only fun for 2/7 hours then the next 5 hours I spend doing a padding campaign of boring and unpolished alternative playstyles (especially amy and big was miserable)
@ChibsTokusentai@MrLag525 I also just rarely find myself going back to sa1 unless I have to replay it for a sonic marathon or whatnot, it’s like a 6.5 hour game that’s not very fun after the first 2 hours, and this is just my opinion.
sa2 to me felt super fun in all playstyles and the whole game
@ChibsTokusentai@MrLag525 To me, sa2 feels like a complete, polished (yet divisive) game from start to finish, however sa1 feels like a rough, dated, and unpolished tech demo.
The only thing I can hand sa1 is sonic’s story as you stated had great level design.
I hated all the other playstyles in sa1.
@SpaceTheGamer@MrLag525 I’d rather play harder levels that have unique themes and require skill, reward replay value in sa2, than unpolished tech demos where you run around until you find 3 emeralds in 30 secs
Replaying and learning the layouts of the stages, using hints make them much more fun in sa2
@SonicEditYT@MrLag525 The nerfed radar never even bugged me, the stages are totally viable with the nerfed radar except a stage like mad space, but that’s really it.
I’d rather play harder, unique treasure hunting levels in sa2 than recycled stage themes with pathetically easy pushovers in sa1.
@SonicEditYT@MrLag525 SA1 is more overrated than SA2, SA1 feels like a unpolished dated tech demo
SA1’s playstyles are all unpolished and almost feel like a joke to play except Sonic
SA2’s playstyles have depth and treasure hunting has a genuine level of skill and effort, SA1’s are pathetically easy
