Your partner shows up for you. They communicate. They respect you during conflicts. They get you a gift, even if it is small. They bring you a flower bouquet, even if it is not the massive arrangement you saw on Instagram. They plan dates. They spend money they do not have in this inflation ridden economy just to see you smile. That is not the bare minimum. That is love. Real, tangible, everyday love.
But the Internet and capitalism have made us insatiable. We have been trained to compare. To measure. To always want more. Corporations have profited off our dissatisfaction. They have shown us bigger bouquets, more expensive gifts, picture perfect relationships, and we have internalized the lie that if our love does not look like that, it is not enough. We have forgotten that the highlight reel is not real. We have forgotten that the people posting those perfect moments are not living perfect lives. They are just curating & larping.
And now, we have become so ungrateful that we use the words "bare minimum" to describe acts of genuine love. We have convinced ourselves that appreciation is a sign of settling. That gratitude means we are accepting less. But that is not true. Gratitude is the secret to contentment. Appreciation is the foundation of love. Comparison is the thief of joy. Please, learn to appreciate the person in front of you. See them. See their effort. See their love. That person is giving you their best. And their best deserves to be seen, valued, and cherished.
Do not let social media steal your joy. Do not let comparison make you blind to the love that is already in your life. Open your eyes. Open your heart. And appreciate what is right in front of you. It's worth more than any curated image you will ever see on a screen.
today i read that butterflies rest when it rains because it damages their wings. it’s okay to rest during the storms of life. you’ll fly again when it’s over.
"as a woman I have so much empathy for my mother, but as a daughter I have so much anger"
resonated deep to me karena memang hubungan ibu-anak perempuan memang kompleks sekali, rasa sayang, rasa marah, rasa ingin memperbaiki, rasa ingin pergi jauh.. tumpah ruah jadi satu
Somewhere in your 20s or 30s you'll get the opportunity to rebuild your life after a negative loop, heal from what broke you, live in your own space, reconnect with your discipline, and learn to love yourself again. It's very important that you see that journey through.
Semahal-mahalnya makanan, ujungnya jadi kotoran. Ukuran lambung pun cuma segitu-gitu aja muatnya.
Semahal-mahalnya jam, waktu dia dan orang lain pun sama. Ga ada bedanya.
Terus nyimpan emas 74 KILOGRAM, mau ngapaiiin gue tanyaaa???
I’m so tired of mindset that everything u post has to be "good for ur career." Dan kyknya banyaknya di indo aja, none of my foreign friends think like this. Their social media is just their life, while their career speaks for itself elsewhere… sosmed ya sosmed bkn CV-
The universe will make sure you'll win if you just keep going. not because life suddenly becomes easier overnight, but because the moment you truly believe in yourself, you stop moving like someone who’s waiting to fail. most people think success belongs to the smart, lucky or talented people. but actually, a huge part of it belongs to the people who refused to stop before the results showed up.
every good thing in your life once existed as something uncertain, something invisible. there were moments where nothing made sense yet but you didn’t quit just because you couldn’t see immediate proof. you kept going anyway, and eventually you got to see it all with your own eyes.
so keep showing up. keep visualizing. keep moving like the life you want is already making its way toward you. appreciate that you are constantly evolving and that this position you are in right now is not your final destination.
cause the universe responds differently to people who trust themselves deeply. people who continue anyway. people who stay committed to the vision even when they have no evidence yet besides faith.
what’s meant for you does not always arrive instantly. sometimes life is preparing you mentally before it delivers what you asked for. sometimes the delay is building the version of you capable enough of handling the blessing properly once it arrives. “every version of you that suffered was shaping the version strong enough to receive what you asked for.”
so stop acting like your dreams are impossible just because they haven’t happened yet. keep believing. keep working. keep aligning yourself with the version of you that already has it. your future is responding to the energy you repeat every single day.
dipikir2 ya aku tu ngelewatin byk hal shitty deh in my life tp the trick is just to keep going aja & knowing that grief doesnt define me.. menurutku ini bener bgt..
