a conservative christian foundation paid $20 million for those jesus ads and i'm just thinking about all the things jesus would've preferred to spend $20 million on
Let me be clear.
Doug Ford and Pierre Poilievre's attack on education workers in Ontario is also an attack on:
- Parents
- Students
- The Education System
And, the constitutionally protected rights of every worker across our country to fight for better wages and benefits.
The view that healthcare and education privatization will solve our problems is only held by those who think they’ll profit and those who think they’ll be able afford it.
Most will be wrong.
I am not an Ontarian, or a teacher, or an education assistant, but I have a perspective on the Ford government’s “Keeping Students in Schools Act”. I was Minister of Education in Alberta for 7 years, including the time the Charter was developed and enacted. #onted#onpoli
The Ontario government's cruel move against CUPE education workers is an attack. On public education. On worker rights. On democracy.
It's an attack on the very fabric that connects our communities.
If you're not outraged, you're just not paying attention.

1/I have been asked by some people why I haven’t made a public statement about the assault on our Deputy Prime Minister. To be blunt, I had to sit with my thoughts for a couple of days. Because this incident is not isolated & it brings up too much pain. And fear. Yes, fear.
A shortage of nurses.
Avg wait time of 20.1 hours to be admitted to hospital, the longest on record.
Beds unavailable due to lack of staff.
And nothing from Ontario's new health minister. #onpoli
Doug Ford disappears for the entire summer while hospitals in Ontario continue to shutter and there are nothing but crickets from the media. JT takes a vacation and it's front page news. Our media is bought and paid for.
