I wanna talk about how bot-written essays are gonna make teachers stop assigning essays and start giving more snap tests, surprise spoken exams, in-class intensive studies and presentations -- and how this will hurt neurodivergent students the most.
Okay, so… on Wednesday I celebrated 8 years sober and I’m so very grateful to be loving/loving the life that I have. At times I’m speechless because I never thought my life would be like this. I’m surrounded by love ❤️
5. Dr. @beckielkins was able to be there and I was so excited to share in this award and work with her! As a chair she has challenged me to engage deeply in scholarship, research, and intentional dialogue. We ended the day dreaming about the future!
What a day yesterday at #acpa23! I am honestly speechless! Here are a few of the highlights. 1. The @MLCOPACPA awards ceremony was so inspiring. Being in community with amazing mid-level professionals looking to transform our profession!
4. I received the Marylu McEwen DOTY award from Dr. @triciashalka, Dr. Christopher Travers, and Dr. McEwen! I was joined by @brocuspocus, my mom, and my aunt. It was amazing seeing all of the great work happening and being recognized by @ACPA and I am part of that work, WOW!
@berrycapria This!!! and access needs change on different timelines both for ourselves and others! I think of the importance of being in community, listening, and approaching our work with humility and love.
The #acpa23 opening panel was 🔥🔥 loved the call-in to supervisors to examine the ways we create burnout and are complicit in maintaining practices of oppression. Has me thinking a lot about @ACPA’s 21st Century Employment report. Excited for so much learning and reflection!
So excited to get messages from my doctoral cohort members about milestones in their dissertation journey! Community-based scholarship really brings joy to my heart!
