And once again I tune into @CBC to watch the Olympic ceremony and instead get to watch an hour of ads.

Publicly funded broadcasters shouldn’t be allowed to run ads during world culture broadcasts like this.

predicting we are going to see a huge growth in the friendslop genre because it meets the needs of people right now: social tightening, low stakes, whimsical. closest we’ve been to couch co-op in the “everything online all the time” era.

Finally finished stranger things season 5 and I’m coining it Deus Ex MacGuffina for the sheer number of random sudden realization solutions and amount of random objects just to help the plot move forward.

Shoulda just been the last 3 episodes with more character moments.

Game designers out there for the love of design hear me when I say you aren’t a “senior designer” if all you can do is copy 1:1 other designs you see in games. Your designs need to be derived from core player motives.

When you defund the education system and you devalue learning history, you get repeats of the Smoot-Hawley Tariffs. All of this is entirely predictable because it's happened before.
