📌 Rhino Conservation Wins
The Southern White Rhino roams the plains of Ajai Wildlife Reserve once again, having been declared extinct decades ago.
It’s a story of determined recovery embraced and enforced by numerous stakeholders and entities, a success story of Uganda’s conservation efforts.
The reintroduction of the rhino to Ajai is not just a win for wildlife conservation, it satiates cultural & traditional hungers among communities and clans who treasure the rhino as their totem and identity symbol, it’s a beacon of hope that even devastating losses can be turned around, it makes Ajai a thought-after destination and contributes to specie diversity in the Ajai range.
This, however, is only but the start. For the species to survive and thrive here once again - like they did before -, concerted efforts towards holistic conservation are vital. I pray we uphold our commitment to protect this particular gain.

As we await 2026, Imagine waking to the thunderous roar of Murchison Falls, where the mighty Nile carves through ancient rock. Trek with mountain gorillas in the misty rainforests of Bwindi, feeling their gentle eyes meet yours in a timeless connection as you experience Uganda.
📌Uganda Night in Morocco - Culture, sport & tourism mashup
I was honored to be part of the team that hosted the #UgandaNight cultural showcase last night in Rabat, Morocco at Villa Soraya as part of the destination marketing, cultural diplomacy and media activation initiatives under the "Explore Uganda" brand.
This event, a partnership between @TourismBoardUg & @OfficialFUFA brought together dignitaries from numerous agencies & departments led by members of UTB Board, FUFA President @MosesMagogo, MPs, members of the Ugandan diaspora community in Morocco, media representatives among others.
This “Uganda Night” in Morocco event is a strong demonstration of how culture,
sport, and tourism can work together to position our country on the global stage.
Through such engagements, we are showcasing the richness & diversity of the Pearl of Africa as we also benchmark on the good practices to grow our destination and sports appeal in the #AFCON2025, the coming CAF African Schools Football Championship 2026, #AFCON2027 and many other sports competitions across various disciplines.

We, under the “@ExploreUganda : The Pearl of Africa” brand, executed a vibrant 3-day marketing campaign at the @WTM_London from November 4–6, 2025.
Led by the Hon. Minister of @MTWAUganda and our CEO @JulzKagwa, Team Uganda showcased the country’s rich tourism offerings, engaged global buyers and media, and strengthened partnerships to boost arrivals from the UK and Europe.
The Uganda stand was a major attraction alive with cultural performances, destination videos, and business meetings with tour operators, hotels, and international travel agents. These engagements opened doors for new collaborations and tailor-made itineraries promoting Uganda’s adventure, wildlife, and cultural experiences.
High-level media interactions with outlets such as @CNN, @BBCAfrica, Al Jazeera, and National Geographic amplified Uganda’s visibility, spotlighting attractions like gorilla trekking, the River Nile, and community tourism.
Our marketing and PR team also met with travel influencers, journalists, and buyers, distributing press materials and coordinating familiarization trips for 2026.
The lively cultural showcases throughout the expo further cemented Uganda’s presence as one of the standout exhibitors in the Africa Hall.

Yesterday, the German travel trade partners visited Hoima City Stadium, one of Uganda’s newest sports and tourism infrastructure projects in the oil-rich Albertine region.
The visit showcased how Hoima is emerging as a key hub for sports tourism, hospitality, and regional development, strengthening Uganda’s positioning as a diverse destination that offers more than wildlife.

With 75% of East Africa’s population under 35, our youth are playing a critical role in shaping tourism today. They are storytellers, coders, filmmakers, and digital entrepreneurs redefining how the world experiences our region.
At Uganda Tourism Board, innovation is the cornerstone of marketing our destination. From developing the Explore Uganda Digital Brand Ecosystem connecting travellers to experiences and guides, to immersive VR at international expos, we’re giving the world sneak peeks into sites like the Murchison Falls to spark interest. Innovation is the lifeblood of modern tourism — helping us reach niche markets, respond to trends, and remain relevant globally.
Uganda and Kenya share more than borders — we share a tourism corridor and a vision for inclusive growth. Regional tourism is is about enhancing our product offering; it’s about co-creation and complementing each destination's unique features. Through joint packages, cross-border connectivity, and the East African e-visa, we can make East Africa the continent’s most connected, youthful, and innovation-led tourism bloc. 🌍

Rwenzori Marathon 2025
These 2 have more than 10m followers worldwide and they did a super job showcasing Uganda.
@RwenzoriMarathn as an excuse to market Uganda beyond the immediate opportunities for those who have what to offer.
If do 500 international activities with these push, our leaders would reduce on flying to negotiate loans.
Those of you who came to kasese saw this practically.
A successful World Tourism Day #WTD2025 celebration it has been!
I thank the people of #WestNile who have hosted and been a part of numerous events leading up to this day and the activities of this very celebration.
I thank the Prime Minister @RobinahNabbanja for gracing the event on behalf of H.E the President @KagutaMuseveni as Chief Guest and bringing the sustainable transformation gospel to Arua City & West Nile as a whole.
I commend the organisers for the job well done and appreciate efforts of every individual, private entities, government MDAs and the leaders of Arua City towards making the function colorful.
As the #ExploreUgandaConcert climaxes the day’s events, it is also ushering us into exploring more of the region under the 4-day #ExploreWestNile domestic tourism promotion campaign.
