@mmjukic Maybe I'm jaded, but this doesn't seem so bad. Most of this is pretty inocuous entertainment, and there's a decent amount of mid-brow intellectual and self-improvement content. Huberman and Diary of a CEO in top 25 were surprising.
@joshrauh@garrytan@gabriel_zucman Gabriel Zucman's entire intellectual self worth is wrapped up in this working. He'll deny reality until the bitter end.
@KelseyTuoc@JeremiahDJohns Okay but white collar crime exemption only to make sure we keep moms in the workforce and eliminate that motherhood penalty.
@Brad_Setser The only meaningful way for CCP to increase consumption is to provide old age entitlements, which creates a bigger problem than it solves over the long run.
You have to hand it to the Boomers.
They added ~$30T to the national debt while the stock market is up ~20,000% since 1980, and yet they still somehow managed to bankrupt Social Security.
It'd be impressive if it wasn't going to burden my and my children's generations.
@Nate_Tice Everything has gotten better. Talent pipeline, coaching, practice, nutrition, strength/conditioning. Everything. It's clearest for FG accuracy where offensive and defensive improvements don't cancel each other out.
@KurtSchlichter Youngers generations are already carrying a disproportionate amount if the burden. Reforms are needed to make sure that the burden is shared more equally by boomers.
@lymanstoneky I mostly agree, but steel-manning the other side: our original sin was forcing savings into a government run entitlement system and investing it in treasuries yielding 2.5%. If social security was invested in broad market index the trust fund would be fine.
