Now, they have escalated by sending missile-guided warships to intimidate civilian vessels carrying out lawful activities. This is a significant increase in aggression, violating international law and disregarding the 2016 ruling that confirmed the Philippines’ rights in the area. These actions create more tension and instability in the region.
