@SciGuySpace Finally, as Isaacman has said, NASA wants input. Respond to RFI. We have to do this together. The worst thing we could do is to deorbit the ISS and not have a sustainable destination to ensure human access to LEO space.
@SciGuySpace I have thoughts. I truly believe this enables commercial destination companies to success much faster. Enabling initial modules to be berthed to ISS allows them to leverage the robust systems on ISS while in parallel they can achieve economic mission utilization in their module.
@SciGuySpace Nothing in this proposal prevents commercial stations from going independent when they have the market and demonstrated reliability to do so. This gives commercial ability to crawl, walk, run with the support of an established and proven platform.
@SciGuySpace If you have limitations in a single commercial module to achieve all of the scientific or commercial objectives, then this model can expand the mission capability with the ISS lab facilities as a shared resource.
@SciGuySpace Too much risk with and dependence on sole source critical systems? Leverage the systems fault tolerance of ISS and other commercial modules while you get those risks under control.
@SciGuySpace Haven’t figured regenerative life support yet? NASA has you covered while you get primary structure, RPOD, and power figured out. Transportation cost too prohibitive to support full crew compliment? Maybe upmass can be shared between the various stakeholders.

It took several days to count every ballot in 2020, and it’s very likely we won’t know the outcome tonight either. So please keep a few things in mind as you make your voice heard today:
– Thousands of election workers around the country are working hard today. Respect them. Thank them.
– Don’t share things before checking your sources.
– Let the process run its course. It takes time to count every ballot.
When flying @Space_Station and all MCC flight controllers stop in breathless awe at a glimpse of the solar system that is so close, yet so far from our daily lives. I have built a career in this room and have been shown by @dominickmatthew how much there is to see when we explore
Took the Shelton roses from MCC to Astro memorial tree grove. Hazard analysis, quality control, test safety, emergency response. The little things are big things. #keepExploring
@rookisaacman@johnkrausphotos@WarrenPeavy@SmileSimplify@StephenClark1 It’s a great idea. Be aware that doing gyros without SRMS makes it extremely challenging to reach the ORU. During servicing mission training we figured out an option, but it was a little sketchy. Closing doors without arm is also a high risk. But if gyros fail, it is all over.
