🦅 Happy National Eagle Day!
Today we celebrate with Kennedy’s resident family of bald eagles – two adults and two fuzzy eaglets – who spent this spring thriving in the wildlife refuge at America’s premier multi‑user spaceport.
National Eagle Day is celebrated annually on June 20 to honor the bald eagle, the United States’ national symbol, and to promote its conservation.
The countdown is on! ⏱️ While Artemis III is assembled in the Vehicle Assembly Building, teams are busy in the Launch Control Center. Teams participate in simulations for terminal count, propellant loading and more to prepare for launch day. 🚀 Drive past the VAB and LCC on the Bus Tour, included with admission.
The official start of building the @NASAArtemis III powerhouse. 🚀
The first of four RS-25 engines for the Artemis III core stage is now inside the Vehicle Assembly Building at Kennedy! These powerful engines – providing two million pounds of thrust at liftoff – will help propel Orion on humanity’s next chapter of lunar exploration.
Different teams. Same planet. One crew. 🌎🏆
