Welcome to ✏️ Wrap It Up Friday ✏️ where 4th Graders have time to finish work, reflect, and tie up any loose ends from the week.

Have a wonderful weekend!

First Graders are bouncing into the weekend by working on their hand-eye coordination and rolling accuracy during this morning’s PE lesson at 🎳

[Capitol Hill Day School @explorewithCHDS]

Upper Grades spent the half day on Friday on the Mall during our first-ever Adventure Day—planned and organized by our Student Government. It was a great morning of cross-grade bonding, scheduled activities and games, and more!

[Capitol Hill Day School @explorewithCHDS]

Sending you off into the weekend with some positive & meaningful reminders from our 5th and 6th Graders! Students were asked to share messages with the CHDS community about having a growth mindset—a topic that they’ve been discussing during advisory. ✨🎨✏️

As part of their exploration of the Chesapeake Bay (a major focus of study in their year-long environmental science program), 7th Graders spent three days at The @chesapeakebay’s Education Center at Port Isobel. 🦀☀️

[Capitol Hill Day School @explorewithCHDS]

First Graders have spent the past few weeks examining the lifecycle of a butterfly. As part of this exploration, students used Geraldo Valério's book "My Book of Butterflies" as inspiration to craft these beautiful butterfly symmetry drawings. 🦋🎨

A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped us reach our goal today and get $25,000 for Capitol Hill Day School! And a very special thank you to all our alumni donors who stepped up to help us achieve a second goal and get CHDS an additional $3,000! Thank you! 💚

Today is Giving Day, and we asked students what CHDS has given to them. Of course, they had lots of great things to say! On this Giving Day, we hope that you will consider giving back to a community that has given so much to so many. https://t.co/oyZcdKenGJ
