@HollywoodHandle And it deserves it. Wonka is straight up delightful and fun. Antman had little going for it. Poor visuals, middle ground humor, much less heart than the first two, and the fact it felt more generic superhero vs. Big bad as compared to a heist/techy film was hugely disappointing.
@blurayangel The better question: Will Madam Webb make over or under 50 M at the box office? Curiosity viewing for projects like this has to be at an all time low. It looks cheap, and the advertising is not doing it any favors. Also few people are going $20 on "Is it so bad it's good?"
@HollywoodHandle Almost Halfway to breaking even. (2.5X Budget (Theaters cut at box office + marketing and "Migration" had a lot of advertising (at least here, cups/buckets, IMDB ads, and stuff like that everywhere)).
Yesterday we dropped our latest #podcast where we talked about Good/Interesting Ideas that made bad movies.
We discussed #ZackSnyder 's #suckerpunch, #intime, and #hardcorehenry. And discussed some ideas we had we know would be fun, but bad films.

@blurayangel I can respect it. Given the rights to film Batman I'd want full creative control of a smaller Batman universe. It can stand alone and I don't have to worry about sticking to Gunns schedule, universe rules, and it frees Gunn to his own version. And success/failure is on me alone.

@capeshitsucks He has probably only seen "Man of Steel", if any Superman project. MoS was a dark "reimagining" of sorts. Superman IS supposed to be bright, shiny, and optimism in human form. It was controversial when ZS made him "dark".
@CanWeGetToast It really didn't. Contrary to "Batgirl", "Coyote vs. ACME" apparently tested very well in its pre-screenings. Batgirl was almost entirely finished, and was BEYOND panned in its screenings. Batgirl deserves a complete rework, a good film, and a more "permanent" outting in the DCU.
