@mlnmxvrstppn Bernie Collins actually talked about this in her book specific to Bahrain - there is an issue of GPS dead zones and it causes the jumping on the screen like that. She talked about having to watch for it and account for it when watching what was happening on track. So it's normal!
He's about to go crazy, I really think he figured out what he needs to do with the car on these tracks he's not as strong at. He learns insanely quickly and I'm confident that things started clicking in Mexico. WDC here we come!!
i was literally telling my husband this morning how upsetting it is that people don't see how amazing a driver Ollie Bearman is because he's in an inferior car. Today was so good, Ollie Nation ๐๐
if the broadcast doesnt play the mariachi version of the f1 theme as the opener today i might actually crash all the way out. we need fun, we need WHIMSY right now!!!
This is actually diabolically funny to me. Oscar and Lando just wanna race and Mclarren is just constantly in a silly goofy mood about how they're gonna let them do so.
Q: "Have you reviewed the sprint in Austin and are there any repercussions for either you or Lando this weekend?"
๐ฃ๏ธ Piastri: "I think there is a degree of responsibility from my side in the sprint and weโre starting this weekend with a clean slate for both of us."
Max ahead of Mexico: "We need to keep having perfect weekends to fight for the championship, so it's important to perform well in Mexico from the start. The circuit usually suits our car well, and it's all about managing our tyres and grip."
"Of course, the high altitude always brings unique challenges, such as lower air density, which will apply to everyone. There's always a great atmosphere in Mexico, so it will be great to finish the doubleheader there."
@ghostoflou_ It could also be a timing thing. The mclarren social media team keeps them very busy for their own channels, and between his team obligations, training, and race weekends, I'm sure the last thing he wants to do is more content production on his few days off.
I need to go look at the methodology but this is actually interesting considering he has quite a weak personal brand, especially comparing to some others on the grid. He's got a ton of potential, but he needs a good brand manager with vision to reach that potential.
@ghostoflou_ Tbh I think it is likely being partially driven by Oscar himself. He is quite a private person, and he doesn't seem to enjoy being in front of the camera. Being "marketable" as a brand nowadays requires a media strategy that he doesn't seem inclined to participate in producing.
i think people just love to complain because the appleTV deal is objectively great. Cheaper than F1TV premium, all races full weekend coverage, access to F1TV at no added cost, AND all their other quite frankly high quality streaming content. I'm struggling to find the issue.
@maxverrari They're wearing passes so presumably they've either got a media pass or a paddock pass. I don't know 100% but my guess is that most of the time people like this have been gifted passes from somewhere - they know someone who works for the media or a sponsor or a team, etc
