She had been woken up many hours before she should have been, and was pulled from her room through her bedroom window.
She looked around a bit trying to figure out where she was. She wanted her Aba, Ima and Sophie. She sat down on the floor, knees to her chest, crying.
She smiled. “Yes! Let’s go get a gift bag and get the card signed! Ima will be up soon!” She ran down the hall to the second guest room, and opened the door to go to the closet.
He smiled softly.
“I really hope she will. I thought it was definitely something Ima would wear. Nothing too out there, something modest. Now let’s go get a gift bag from the party stuff and put the necklace in there and then sign the card.”
He squats down to her height.
“Well I got the flowers, and then I’ve got a card that you and I can sign. And then I got mommy this.”
He opened a necklace box.
“This will be from you, Tali. I’m sure Ima would love it. She’s always wearing that necklace you pointed at.”
|| finally watching some of the Miraculous Ladybug and Cat Noir movies I haven't seen yet. And seeing what happened to everyone once Gabriel was defeated. My heart hurts for Adrien, Marinette and everyone who was effected by it all.
He carried her into the kitchen.
"I know.. it's not fair. But for right now, everything's okay. Now let's get you some breakfast."
He then set her down on the counter top.
She wants to go home…
She wants everything to go back to the way it was…
Where uncle Henry was alive. Where things were fine… before the bad men started coming.
He looked at her, then gently pulled her closer, hugging her.
“It’ll be okay, Tali. Mommy and I won’t let something hurt you… and we’ll always try to make sure we come back for you.”
He looked at her again.
“I know baby. But mommy and I want to keep you safe. For right now. Being here is safest. But if it’s not, you need to promise to follow Sophie regardless. Like you have before.”
She looked at him, frowning a bit. “Will we ever be able to go home? I want to be home. I want to see grandpa again… I want my room back… I want my toys…”
He looked at her and nodded softly.
“I know baby. I want to go home too. But for right now, we need to keep you safe. Mommy and I have always been trying to fight someone who wants to hurt us. But you’re our baby. Things are different now.”
