Looking forward to see how well, experienced and new school students, aged 6-18, handle this year’s challenges.
Well done to @ExeterSchoolUK U2 pupils Isaac, Harriet & Louis whose entries in the @BAFTAGames Young Game Designer competition made it through to the Judge's Round. They were invited to the #BaftaYGD Showcase in London to hear from experts about ways into the creative industries.
@ExeterSchoolUK enjoyed welcoming our new pupils to #ExeterJuniorSchool yesterday. Here is the @PlayCraftLearn#Minecraft version of the junior school built by the Minecraft Architects club and started off by our entire school community during STEAM Day back in March. 🎮💻
Form One have already learnt how to make beautiful game worlds in Kodu! 🎮They spent time learning how to use the different tools before designing colourful and interesting world designs on Kodu 🎨🖌️ #ExeterJuniorSchool#computing#STEM@ExeterSchoolUK 👾💻️
Form One @ExeterSchoolUK started new Kodu worlds today to learn how to program objects to move autonomously on paths like NPCs. We learnt how to create paths and then programmed the objects to move on them. #STEM#computing#programming
As part of our STEAM Festival @ExeterSchoolUK to celebrate #ScienceWeek, 200 pupils started our next big #Minecraft project & built the junior school. Our Minecraft Architects club will finish this off in the summer term and start building other parts too. @PlayCraftLearn#stem
👩🏫 Fear not teachers! There are already tools available to detect written content generated by AI. Check out:

We've had a great time this term @ExeterSchoolUK Upper One in computer science building game worlds and programming characters in @koduGameLab We thought about the gameplay and provided a visual guide for the players. We tested them to make sure they were fun & challenging #STEM
After the @ExeterSchoolUK 🌍Planet Protectors were visited by our Head Groundsman to learn about the different types of vegetables that could grow together, Form One used Minecraft @PlayCraftLearn to 3D model their designs for our new vegetable area. #STEM#design
Form One pupils @ExeterSchoolUK have been learning how to sort groups by their attributes in their computer science lessons using software to create databases. Here they are sorting dinosaurs into branching diagrams. It turns out they know a lot of dinosaur facts!🦕 🦖
Lower Two had a great morning building and programming robotic vehicles to navigate mazes using @RedfernElec Crumbles and @4tronix_uk components. A big thanks to @ExeterSchoolUK A Level Electronics pupils who came along to provide expertise and support for our younger pupils.
Upper One @ExeterSchoolUK have been creating their own algorithms to control the Lego robots as they roam around the school. They programmed the @LEGO_Group#WeDo robots from their iPads in groups. They learnt about the motor and the RGB LED and how to control them. #STEM
@ExeterSchoolUK Lower Two pupils are using #3Dmodelling tools to create CAD designs. They are using @tinkercad to create their designs and have so far built a maze and a house! They have learnt how computers can aid precision in design and manufacture #computing#STEM
