I don't want to hear about male loneliness. You have any idea how lonely women are? The loneliness of not being able to step out of the home without permission. The loneliness, often, of not even being able to talk on the phone without family interference. The loneliness & shame+
Everyone felt sad for the penguin walking alone and the monkey rejected by his mother. But this video is far more heartbreaking, yet it didn’t receive the same attention.
data centres are draining bengaluru’s ground water. right now there are 31 data centres in bengaluru. data centres consume roughly 20 million litres of water EVERYDAY.
where will that water come from because bengaluru has no river and is entirely dependent on groundwater.
more data centres are planned and upcoming. our country will not survive this. the planet will not survive this. we will not survive this.
My condolences to #India on #Modi becoming the longest-serving PM. Falling in every category --

Mohammad Bhar was 24 years old. A Palestinian man with Down syndrome and autism. He depended on his family for almost everything. He relied on them to help him eat, drink, and care for himself.
His mother remembers him panicking.
He would say, “I’m scared… scared.”
Sometimes he would say “hey, hey”, thinking someone was about to hit him.
His family would gather around him and comfort him.
He didn’t understand what was happening.
When Israeli soldiers raided his home in Gaza, they brought a military attack dog with them.
His mother begged them: “Have mercy on him… he’s disabled. Keep the dog away from him.”
They didn’t listen.
The dog attacked Mohammad, biting into his chest and his arm.
And instead of fighting it, Mohammad tried to calm the dog down.
He patted its head and said softly:
“That’s enough… my love… enough.”
His family tried to reach him.
But soldiers forced them out of the house at gunpoint, separating him from them.
They begged to help him. They begged to stay with him.
But the soldiers left him behind.
Days later, when his family returned, they found Mohammad dead on the floor.
He had bled out alone.
His mother said: “We couldn't save him… neither from them nor from the dog.”
"I tell my students, when you get these jobs that you’ve been so brilliantly trained for, just remember that your real job is that if you are free, you need to free somebody else. If you have some power, then your job is to empower somebody else."

Heat is also a class issue.
some people experience a heatwave through rising electricity bills. you and i may have ACs at home, our workplaces may be airconditioned.
BUT what about the ones who have to work outside. who suffer heatstroke. who die. the farmers, labourers, vendors, stallwalas.
HEAT IS A CLASS ISSUE.
final act of love is an oxymoron, if you were a real lover there would be no final act- your love would demand unconditional devotion and compell you because continuity is in its nature
