Fifty years ago today, Mr and Mrs Eye were married at Holy Trinity Church in Boston. Since then, we’ve lived and worked in London, Spalding, Lincoln, Skegness, Spilsby and Horncastle, but retired to Boston 25 years ago. Thanks to all for their good wishes.
Sorry to see that Clownty Hall (aka @LincolnshireCC ) couldn’t manage to mention Boston’s Blackfriars panto in the County News “featured events”. Still, we all know that Boston doesn’t “feature” with Lincoln at all!
@Gambba_Jones No problem at all - just my phoniness detector. You make it sound like a great honour, when I believe it has to be paid for. And what’s the point? What does it do for Boston? Some senior officers would faint at the sight of a stone with Boston written on it!
@robnitm Do you have any more of this area please. My father was born at 22 Whitmore Gardens in 1918, and my grandparents lived there from around 1912, through WW2 and into the 70s. I discovered that their street was built after many in Kensal Rise on the site of a huge sports ground.
