@eye_unit Intercepted information regarding a large iphone theft syndicate, the team swifty mobilized and traced a suspect to a high rise building in the Joburg CBD. Over 160 suspected stolen iphones were recovered and 1 foreign national detained.

Various Law Enforcement Agencies and Security Service providers responded to the call. The operation was conducted around old mine shafts and dumps in the outskirts of Johannesburg. The illegal mining operations will be disempowered and ultimately destroyed.

13 May 2023, EYE OPS Intervention Unit has been working with the community of Phomolong (Orlando West), in gathering Intel regarding a cable theft syndicate,

This led to a positive location where substantial high voltage cable was found. (1/4)

This shows that this syndicate is well resourced and determined to ruin our country's essential infrastructure.

While monitoring the scene, a Nyaope Drug den was raided and drugs including syringes, Crack pipes were removed and destroyed.

Suspect questioned and his story doesn't hold water, he was arrested and his accomplices will be arrested soon.
The cable was so thick and heavy a flatbed truck had to winch it out the yard.

09/05/2023 An intelligence driven operation resulted in the successful tracing and arrest of 3 suspects in Protea Glen Ext 2 & Ext 22 wanted for Burglary & Armed Robbery.

The quick apprehension of these suspects allows SAPS investigators to improve their chances of successful prosecution and gives victims an opportunity to feel safer whilst ensuring that law is upheld and demonstrating to criminals that they dont have a place in our communities.

Tracking last coordinates indicated that the vehicle was at Dube Hostel.
