•Wash Your Eyes with fresh water before and after swimming.

•Use over-the-counter lubricating eye drops .

•Never swim with contact lenses
Wearing contact lenses puts you at high risk for a corneal infection.

For your eye doctor to look inside your eyes, your pupils must be dilated (widened). Dilating eye drops enlarge your pupils and keep them from getting smaller when the doctor shines light in your eyes.
