@rachelparris Yes, much the same on the Today programme. And I was struck by how keen he was to say the government 'regretted' what they'd done, but not that they were 'sorry'. Why is it so hard for them to apologise?
Hello @ProfBrianCox My 5-year-old daughter, Eve, wants to know "What is behind space?" And I'm a bit stumped on how to answer. Any thoughts on what lies beyond the edge of the universe? #bigtopicssmallchild
@virginmedia my internet goes down, on average, 2x each day, but this week it's been worse and is now not working at all. It's costing me £ in mobile data. Is there a way of fixing it without spending hours talking to a call centre robot? If not, I'm cancelling this awful service
@virginmedia oh - just got disconnected again. A thirds person is chatting to me now so I have to go back to the beginning of the story and give my account details all over again. For a telecoms company you guys sure struggle to maintain a connection
@virginmedia After a second engineer's visit, the connection has broken again. Have been on an on-line chat for 90 min going around in circles. oh, but I did get a bill for more than double what a new customer would be paying, so that's nice #ripoffvirgin
@virginmedia I’ve been around in circles and cannot get through time customer service or complaints dept on phone. Two engineers’ visits and it’s still not fixed. Why am I paying 67 per month for this? I’m leaving as soon as I can organise a new supplier. Had enough.
Wear a mask in shops. Don’t wear a mask in school (even if spending hours in a smaller, badly ventilated room, with 30 others). Social distancing is key. Unless you’re in school - no room. Children are safe. Teachers are safe. Families are safe. Very, very, very, very, very safe.
@BBCr4today I don't think the science is changing as quickly as those like @HuwMerriman say it is. But when it does, surely that's a good thing: we are learning more about Covid-19 and so the recommendations of scientists are bound to change. To not change would be pretty irresponsible, no?
@BBCr4today Please tell @HuwMerriman that "The science keeps changing" because that's what science is supposed to do: if we learn new things, the advice must change. Wearing a mask at school doesn't ruin education. Putting teachers pupils & families at risk does. #justwearamask
What is white privilege?
We asked @JohnAmaechi, psychologist, best-selling author and former NBA basketball player to explain it for us.
