I spoke with ARD, Germany’s joint organisation of regional public-service broadcasters, about how Paul #Kagame’s regime is using the #UCIWorldChampionship2025 to polish its image.

Behind this showcase, Kagame’s regime continues to repress its citizens, silence independent voices & destabilize the region - particularly through its aggression in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where war crimes and crimes against humanity have been documented.

Sports are being instrumentalized for image laundering, and the @UCI_cycling plays a role in enabling this façade.

I was honored to bring this message to #ARD’s audience of nearly 38 million television households across #Germany. Speaking out remains our strongest tool to demand and defend our rights.
