It’s been great interacting with many of you, this account helped me push through the end of lockdown and kept me feeling connected during and after my move to New York. I am grateful. COYG!
My time on this account has come to an end. It was a fun journey, got to make threads on my favorite players, write articles for some great blogs on here, and met a bunch of really great people. Got to share my first ever Emirates experience with you all.
Chelsea have reached verbal agreement with Rennes for Lesley Ugochukwu, deal in place — personal terms agreed, long term contract 🚨🔵🇫🇷 #CFC
Ugochukwu will sign for Chelsea then talks will follow to decide about loan to Strasbourg.
Fee around €27m, as @AdamLeventhal reports.
He also isn’t the ‘stand out’ player in his club side, that’s Saka. And I don’t think he’s elevated himself to the level of a match winner that drags Arsenal through difficult games/moments. Someone like Vinicius or Rodrygo have.
Emirates Stadium was the venue when Arsène brought Gedion Zelalem off the bench in an FA Cup win over Coventry in January 2014 - in doing so, the midfielder (DOB January 26, 1997) became the first player born after Arsène took charge to make a senior appearance for us.
No fewer than 117 players scored for us during Arsène’s tenure - Thierry Henry was top of the list, netting 228 times, with Robin van Persie (132) and Theo Walcott (108) completing the top three.

Alex Morgan still so incredibly clean technically. Matching her with such intelligent wingers is dangerous those out-to-in runs are just as dangerous as the overlaps and Morgan can play any pass.
Statistic-based analysis is not only lazy and narrow in its scope, but also just not that fun. Takes so much out of what makes football exciting and fun, which is partially the wide array of factors that can/do contribute to the success of a player or a coach etc.
@arsenaltheory22@Soca77194544 They had no real evidence that he would be a good first team coach! Even if everyone rated him at that point given his work at City, there was still the risk it might not have worked if he was the head coach.
