-I don’t think anything can surpass the 1997 miniseries due to the comprehensive portrayal of the entire adventure. Still, you’d be doing yourself a a huge disservice if you go into that theatre drawing comparisons instead of allowing yourself be immersed in Nolan’s adaptation.
@aircoker Ludwig’s score in that scene is incredible. He made the soundtrack so good, you don’t feel like you missed anything not hearing the Sirens’ Music.
-I hope Christopher Nolan and Hoyte van Hoytema never stop collaborating on films. I don’t believe any other cinematographer can capture Nolan’s vision like he does.
-I don’t think Ludwig will be able to top what he achieved with the Oppenheimer score in The Odyssey, but I’m super excited to hear what he comes up with.
-I had literal tears in my eyes when I heard Ludwig’s score in the Sirens’ Music scene. Blood was rushing really fast to my head and chills down my spine.
-My reasoning is to go see the Odyssey tomorrow by 8:50pm while everyone else is watching the World Cup finals so I can have the entire theatre to myself. 🥴
-I can’t explain what I just felt. Growing up, I watched Andrei’s 1997 miniseries on DVD with my family more times than I can count, so I know every bit of the story; yet Nolan still managed to evoke emotions from an audience that already knew exactly how the story would unfold.
-Let’s create a Google form for everyone to choose their preferred IMAX viewing date and time for The Odyssey, to help prevent congestion at Filmhouse(Lekki). If it isn’t your chosen date or time, stay home. We could also allow spot trading on the queue.😪
