Alya drives several points home here.

The fact that Meryem is staying at the konak, with the kind of history she has with Cihan while Cihan is in a relationship with Alya stings. Never mind the reason.

Two, she equates their past relationships based on the idea of ilk aşk. And Cihan can't stand the idea even though Alya makes it clear to him all feelings were on Enver's side only because Cihan is Alya's first true love.

And Cihan realizes exactly how thin of a tight rope he's walking in that instant because what he expects from Alya, he would never be able to withstand.

The fact that he's insanely jealous of a faceless 17 year old boy who Alya no longer has any connection to (note the signature rubbing his nose move) is testament to that.

And perhaps that's the irony of it all: Cihan asks Alya to make room for a past he insists is no longer a threat, while the mere shadow of her past is enough to unravel him.

He can rationalize Meryem as memory, gratitude, history - stuff Alya should understand but put another man anywhere near Alya's heart, even retrospectively, and suddenly reason abandons him.

Because when it comes to Alya, Cihan doesn't know how to share. Not her present, not her future, apparently not even a piece of her past.

Enver becoming flesh and blood may force Cihan to confront the impossible standard he once asked Alya to endure. And to top it all is the way things were left hanging at the finale.

Cihan tells Alya he won't forgive her this time. Alya leaves for Cihan, and when Cihan discovers that and goes after her, and then sees the chef, I fear the man might genuinely lose his shit 😭
