In remote #communities, accessing care once meant walking nearly 3hrs across steep terrain — even for:

🤰🏾 A woman in labor
🩺 A patient managing hypertension

Distance was a determinant of health. Today, through collaboration with the Government of Rwanda through @RwandaHealth, and partners, #SFHRwanda is expanding Second-Generation Health Posts (#SGHPs) to bring #PHC closer to communities.

✔️ Travel time reduced from ~195 mins to <30 mins
✔️ Maternal, newborn & child health services
✔️ Malaria testing & treatment
✔️ NCD screening & management
✔️ Family planning & immunization
✔️ Digital medical records
✔️ Dental, ophthalmology & minor surgery

Through a #PPP (nurse-entrepreneur model), health posts are #sustainable, community-centered, and aligned with national standards.

#UHC is not abstract — it is being built, one hillside at a time.
