Thanks to Hispanics of LinkedIn Alliance (HOLA) for having NIJC Executive Director Mary Meg McCarthy @nijcmccarthy at today's @LinkedIn town hall along with Ed Yohnka @eyohnka from @ACLUofIL for a great discussion about immigration!
Hello geniuses of the Pokémon Go festival. One fun suggestion I have is to look up from your phones at least for the 30 seconds while you’re crossing Michigan Ave. to make sure you’re not about to die.
We are heartbroken to share we lost a member of the ACLU family. @LenoraLapidus, Director of our Women’s Rights Project, was a champion for gender equality, dedicating her life to protecting the most marginalized among us and fighting for rights for all.
We will miss her dearly.
Lenora renovated the house that Ruth Bader Ginsberg, co-founder of the Women's Rights Project, built. She championed the rights of pregnant workers, students, cancer survivors, service members, domestic workers, farmworkers, and women caught up in the criminal justice system.
This AM, I was taken aback by the hypocrisy displayed by @CardinalBCupich and @CatholicConfIL.
Lecturing on morality, with no legs to stand on.
I fight for women and #RHAinIL.
I put my $ where my mouth is – can they say the same?
