@EythorM in the @thenewstack dreaming up pipelines that:
✨ are semantically aware
📦 can run in dev, CI, and prod
💨 are accelerated by test and build caching
A smart, portable, fast pipeline. 💭 Dream with us.

Developer advocate @worldofgeese's latest DevOps newsletter is out!
In it, he covers FOSS tools to make Kubernetes more fun--like using @HashiCorp's Terraform and @Hetzner_Online for cheap remote clusters.
Get it while its hot! 🥖https://t.co/kby9Qe78hf
Garden's co-founder @thsigurdsson on the philosophical and practical differences between @PulumiCorp and @HashiCorp's Terraform, two of the best-known IaC tools.
(And, if you’re wondering, Garden has plugins for both 🪴)

Yes! DevEx should be treated as a product.
We've learned that one of the big value adds of Garden Cloud on top of @garden_io 's OSS core product is that it helps those responsible for DX actually track it.
An early trend I see happening, which could gain more traction:
Product managers joining internal-facing engineering teams (e.g. platform teams, dev tools teams) and bringing some of the practices that treat other engineers as customers.
Gathering feedback, personas etc.
Our advocate 🥑 @worldofgeese is giving a talk at @SREcon titled "Emotional Disaster Recovery: Debugging the Self with Effective Monitoring". If you'll be there, swing by on Thursday just before lunch and learn some mindful techniques to defuse 🧨 work bombs 💣
💸 Tuesday Job Drop!
New roles for the week from @garden_io and Glyphic AI!
-🖥 Sr. Front End Engineer
-🤖 Machine Learning Engineer
-🧰 Sr. Software Engineer

Yes! 100%!
But of course you need proper tooling to achieve that, so I'll just shamelessly plug https://t.co/DquyBiKeAv (@garden_io) which was purposefully built with this in mind.
Unsure if this is controversial?
Runtime environments should be identical. Dev, testing, staging, and production.
We want the code we author, and the code in 'production' to be as close as possible: ideally identical.
Otherwise reproducing, and resolving bugs is harder.
